Historic District Survey information for 14 Center St
Architectural Description: 14 Center Street is a 2-story, 3-bay former sidehall dwelling. The front-gable roof has modillioned cornice with partial returns and paired brackets under the eaves. The main entry consists of a modern door; flat hood with modillioned cornice and end brackets. Similar trim above windows. Fenestration includes a large canted bay adjacent to door end on north facade with 2/2 and 1/1 DHS; 2/2 wood DHS elsewhere. A large 2-story addition on the rear accommodates multiple residential and commercial units. The addition is clad in wood shingles and has a roof deck above. Exterior steps access 2nd story entries. Fenestration includes 6/6 DHS windows with storms.
Historical Narrative: Per 2004 survey: Interior renovation ongoing; currently houses the community radio station and other commercial and residential occupants.
