Historic District Survey information for 7 Center St
Architectural Description: This is a 2-story 3-bay building. The side gable roof is clad in asphalt shingles; full return; frieze below eaves; shed dormers on north and south slopes. Massive corner pilasters. An open, recessed porch is located at the southeast corner. 1st and 2nd story porches are incorporated here, and the 2nd-story is supported by square posts; wrought iron balustrade and gate; wood deck, brick steps. The main entry located at the first story of this open porch, contains a pane and panel wood door with modern screen and 4-pane sidelights. A secondary entrance is located on the south side with wood surround, pilasters, entablature top and 4-pane transom; the door is pane and panel wood with brick steps; wrought iron balustrade. Fenestration includes 2/1 DHS wood, 6/6 DHS wood, with wood surrounds; 6/1 wood DHS in the shed dormers. A 1-story shed-roofed addition at the southeast corner of the building has a hipped vestibule with an additional entrance.
