Architectural Description: 6 Carver Street is a 2-story, 3-bay sidehall entry dwelling with a rear ell. The front-gable roof has partial returns and a frieze below the eaves. Large shed dormer, south slope; smaller shed dormer - north slope; shed dormer and brick chimney on rear ell. Corner pilasters indicative of the Greek Revival style. The main entry consists of double pane and panel doors with storms, shaded by a flat hood with end brackets - indicative of the Italianate style. A secondary entrance is located on the north facade with a transom above; another is located on the south side of the rear ell, with a brick stoop and iron railings. A wood deck extends across the front facade; panel balustrade. Fenestration includes wood 6/6 DHS windows with louver shutters; Chicago-style windows on south shed dormer; paired 6-light casements on south side of rear ell. Basement windows include 3/3 and 2/2 DHS and a 4-light window.
