Architectural Description: 6A Pearl Street is a 1 1/2-story, 4-bay 3/4 cottage. The side gable roof is clad in wood shingles. Entry door has storm. Windows are wood 2/2 DHS with shutters. The 2-story rear ell includes modern skylights; a concrete block chimney is located at the rear.
Historical Narrative: CHECK CLADDING As per Tom Boland (1994): the house at 6A Pearl Street is clearly shown on the map of 1836 and the atlas of 1858. No owner, however is identified. In 1880 the owner is noted as Mrs. Sumner. By 1901-07 the property was purchased by Manuel C. Marks, a fisherman. Pearl Street is one of Provincetown's earliest side streets and this house, stylistically ranks as an early structure for the street.
