Two newspaper articles, one in the New Beacon and one in the Advocate, about the memorial gathering for Harry Kemp, Poet of the Dunes. His last wishes, to be cremated and scattered on the dunes and in Greenwich Village, were heard on audio tape in his own voice. Friends and notables spoke and money was raised by 'Friends of Harry Kemp' for a bronze casting of a Sheila Burlingame sculpture of a Pilgrim woman washing clothes to be erected in the far west end of town near the Pilgrim's First Landing Place.
