Provincetown Playhouse 1961

From the collection of the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum, playbills from the 1961 season of the Provincetown Playhouse and newspaper reviews of the productions. Playwrights include Eugene O'Neill, George Bernard, Shaw, Lyon Phelps, Clyde Fitch, Peter Shaffer, Harry Kemp, Thornton Wilder and Edward Albee. (The first playbill of the season was mistakenly printed with the wrong date of 1960, which was crossed off and penciled in with 1961.....there is a handwritten note 'from Joan to Pinto' that suggests the playbill may become a collector's item.)
