Architectural Description: Partially OBSCURED FROM VIEW; 421 Commercial St. is a 2-story, 8-bay, astylistic boathouse converted to a small hotel; side-gable roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles; exterior is clad in wood shingles with wood trim; building sits on an obscured foundation; fenestration includes single replacement windows; multiple entrances are accessed by sliding glass doors; exterior 2-story deck.
Historical Narrative: As per Tom Boland (1994): (421 rear) The long, wharf related building at 421 is first noted on the atlas of 1858. In 1880, the site was owned by J.H. Davis and was used for a maritime purpose. By 1907, the property changed hands to a W. Silva.
