Architectural Description: 17 Alden Street is a 2-story, 3-4 bay building with a side gable roof. The primary facade is oriented to the south. The roof is clad in asphalt shingles; shed dormer on south slope; partial returns; frieze below the eaves. The building is clad in vinyl siding, except for the wood shingle cladding at the rear (northeast) facade. The primary entrance contains a pane and panel wood replacement door with wood screen; it is accessed by brick steps. A secondary entrance is located at the southeast corner. Fenestration includes 1/1 wood DHS, 1/1 wood awning, and Chicago-style windows. A 2nd-floor door is located on the southern facade, but it is suspended with no exterior access. A partially visible secondary entrance on the northeast elevation consists of a shed-roof section clad in wood shingles with a Chicago-style window and accessed by wood steps.
