Architectural Description: 14 Cottage Street is a 2-story, 3-bay sidehall cottage with rear ell. The building is clad in clapboard, except for wood shingles on the north facade. Front gable wood shingled roof with partial returns and frieze; shed wall dormers on north and south slopes. Wall dormer on north facade is similar to that on south facade, with lower window placement. Brick chimney at roof ridge. No steps to front panel door entry with simple wood surround and entablature. Secondary entry at rear of south facade accessed by concrete steps. Windows are 2/2 DHS with storms; Queen Anne window on north facade of ell. The 1-story rear ell with gable roof contains a separate entry, 2/2 DHS windows, and exterior brick chimney.
