Architectural Description: 337-345 Commercial St. is a 2-1/2-story, 4-bay, vernacular Colonial Revival-style commercial building; cross-gable roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, interior brick chimney with a terra cotta cap; exterior is clad in asbestos shingles with brick facing on 1st story of front facade and wood shingles on secondary facade; building sits on an obscured foundation; fenestration includes aluminum Chicago-style picture windows, 1st-story bay windows with hipped metal roof and single-pane vinyl windows; recessed main entrance contains clapboard siding within that appears to have filled a larger entrance; 2nd story slightly overhangs 1st story; the roof has cross gables at each end on the primary facade and a shed dormer between the gables containing modern paired French doors, modern paired multi-pane casement windows and an iron balustrade across porch; two buildings on lot now connected by new addition that is clad in vinyl and contains all vinyl windows.
